Question 1

Are e-signatures legally binding?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Electronic signatures are legally binding in the United States under the ESIGN Act (2000) and UETA, as well as in most countries worldwide. BCS e-Sign is fully compliant with these regulations, making your signed documents enforceable in court.

Question 2

How secure are my documents?

Accepted Answer

We use bank-level encryption to protect your documents both in transit and at rest. Every document is stored securely with access controls, and all actions are logged in a tamper-proof audit trail including timestamps, IP addresses, and device information.

Question 3

What's included in the free trial?

Accepted Answer

Eligible new organizations may start a limited 14-day organization trial. No credit card is required to start, and the trial includes up to 10 documents. Document, template, team, SMS, and API limits are restricted. A free trial is available once per email.

Question 4

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Your documents remain accessible even after cancellation.

Question 5

Do signers need an account to sign?

Accepted Answer

No. Signers receive a secure link via email and can sign documents directly in their browser — no account creation or app download required. It's designed to be as frictionless as possible for your recipients.

Question 6

What file formats are supported?

Accepted Answer

BCS e-Sign supports PDF documents. Simply upload your PDF, add signature fields, and send it out for signing. The signed document is returned as a sealed PDF with the complete audit trail attached.

Can I add multiple signers to a document?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can add unlimited signers to a single document and set a specific signing order if needed. Each signer receives their own secure link and can complete their portion independently.

Question 8

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

Simply create a free account, upload your first document, add signature fields, and invite your signers. Most users send their first document for signature within 5 minutes of signing up.
